Objective To explore the construction and application effect of a"symptom-risk"dual dimensional intervention model based on symptom management theory in patients after laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis.Methods A total of 140 patients with endometriosis who underwent laparoscopic surgery at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University from January 2022 to January 2025 were selected and assigned into a control group(n=70)and an observation group(n=70)using a random number table.The control group received routine nursing,while the observation group received"symptom-risk"nursing based on symptom management theory in addition to the nursing given to the control group.Both groups received nursing until discharge.The postoperative recovery of various indicators was compared between the two groups.The sex hormone levels and the World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF Scale(WHOQOL-BREF)score were compared before nursing,at 7 days after nursing,and before discharge.The incidence of complications before discharge was also compared between the two groups.Results The observation group had shorter time to ambulation,flatus passage,food intake,defecation,and wound healing,as well as length of hospital stay,than the control group(P<0.05).After 7 days of nursing and before discharge,the serum luteinizing hormone(LH)and follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the Estradiol(E2)levels were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The scores across four dimensions of the WHOQOL-BREF in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The overall incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The"symptom-risk"dual dimensional intervention model based on symptom management theory demonstrated good efficacy in patients after laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis,which can effectively adjust levels of postoperative sex hormones,accelerate recovery process,improve quality of life,and reduce the risks of postoperative complications.
